MICR Reject Repair

Orbograph's MICR Reject Repair provides automated reject repair functionality to MICR rejects from any workflow ensuring streamlined image processing and correct MICR lines prior to posting. As an extension to Accura XV or Automation Services, MICR Reject Repair facilitates a cleaner check processing workflow.
Orbograph’s MICR Reject Repair addresses an ongoing industry problem where low speed check image scanners continually see high levels of rejects for manual processing. Through the adoption of distributed capture in branch, teller, and merchant processing, reject rates have grown from 1% in centralized environments, to as high as 5% on select low speed scanners, negatively impacting the efficiencies gained in CAR/LAR recognition.
Orbograph MICR Reject Repair utilizes multiple OCR recognition software engines developed internally and externally to automatically read 80-90% of the rejects locally and up to 98% through full Automation Services. Full field or single character repair is available. Through the use of a single interface, Automation Services is able to read amounts and MICR on the same pass.
“Orbograph automatically corrects an unprecedented number of rejects. As a complementing strategy to our Automation Services, our objective is to enable all workflows including branch, teller, and RDC to minimize exceptions in all areas.”
