IQUA, Image Quality Assurance & Image Usability – OrboCAR

The industry’s most comprehensive solution for image quality assurance, image usability and check image integrity is Orbograph IQUA software. Originally designed to address the quality and warranty requirements of image exchange and Check 21 in a centralized processing environment, IQUA also supports distributed processing applications for branch, teller and merchant capture.

Running on our legacy OrboCAR platform, Orbograph’s IQUA solutions are in place in many of the top 25 U.S. financial institutions as well as in a wide range of community banks. These organizations implemented a local software license to address the image standards implemented by the Federal Reserve as well as those defined by FSTC for checks and IRD’s. These systems are detecting non-compliant images (NCI) in POD, inclearing, remote deposit capture, ATM, and remittance workflows.

Image Integrity Services reads the MICR line on the check image via Orbograph OCR recognition software and compares it to the image index provided either the check capture application, or the index within X9.37 or X9.100.187 files. Using proprietary matching and voting algorithms, Image Integrity Services identifies specific images which mismatch the index. These images are then displayed for adjustment and return item processing.
